
State Park to Host Tenth Annual Halloween in the ParkDUNEDIN - The Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Honeymoon Island State Park and the Friends of the Island Parks are hosting Halloween in the Park-Rest in Pieces X on Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. With a haunted trail and a not-so-scary trail, the event includes entertainment for all ages. New features include the story of the Trash Monster of Litterville in the "not-so-scary" area with interactive games and activities. In addition, there will be new scary faces on the haunted trail for the older kids. There will also be spooky storytelling lead by the Dunedin and Palm Harbor libraries. Other activities include games, food, face painting and fortune telling. The event will be held in the picnic area and participants should wear their best costumes (not required) and comfortable shoes, and should bring insect repellant and a small flashlight. Café Honeymoon will be selling refreshments. A donation of $10 per carload will be rewarded with ten free game tickets.
