Perhaps you are looking for a project for a youth group that will provide an invaluable life lesson while showing the joy of giving to others. Pinellas Hope organizers invite members of the public to help bring an immediate reduction in homelessness and be a part of the permanent solution. The Pinellas Hope community needs help providing meals to the hundreds of homeless residents expected to take temporary refuge at the emergency shelter being set up on 126th Avenue North, near 49th Street. Groups can prepare a meal and then sit with the guests of Pinellas Hope, to offer the simple pleasure of conversation, and to get to know them one-on-one as real people. The emergency shelter is expected to open Dec. 1 and remain open through April 30.
