Library Offers Teen Modeling Workshop

PALM HARBOR - Attention, girls 13-18! Learn the basics of modeling and runway skills. Professional model, actress and author Ro Martinez will be giving a workshop at the Palm Harbor Library on Saturday, November 24, from 11 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Ms. Martinez will be teaching the do's and don'ts of the business, runway walking and poise. The workshop will end with a fashion show featuring you!

All sizes are welcome. The fashion show will begin at 2 p.m. and is free and open to the public. One lucky participating girl will receive a free 30-day career guidance workshop with Martinez.

Ms. Martinez has worked in New York's Fashion District and has appeared on billboards, magazine covers and on TV's Home Shopping Network. She has also completed a book, Modeling at Any Age for Fun and Profit, to share her secrets and help people attain their dream of beginning a career in modeling. Ms. Martinez runs a career guidance business, "Modeling - Beginning to Booking," which focuses on avoiding costly modeling schools and scams, preparing for your first photo shoot and what to expect at auditions. You can visit her website at http://www.modeling-beginningtobooking.com .

To sign up for the workshop, call the Palm Harbor Library at 727-784-3332, Ext. 206, or stop by the Youth Services desk. This program is sponsored, in part, by Jay's Closet of Palm Harbor and Leigh Photography.
