Opera in Dunedin to be Presented
DUNEDIN - The Dunedin Community Center, in partnership with the Pinellas Opera League, will be presenting "Opera in Dunedin" where they will be showing opera dvds and videos on the third Sunday of the month through May 18, 2008. The Center is located at 1920 Pinehurst Rd., in Dunedin. Showings begin at 1:15 p.m.
The following is the list of showings:
- November 18 - "Otello" by Guiseppe Verdi
- December 16 - "Diva on the Verge" Julia Migenes will give an irreverent singing and anecdotal look at opera from behind the scenes - "Une Education Manquee" by Emmanuel Chabrier.
- January 20 - "Notre Dame de Paris" by Richard Cocciante and Luc Plamondon
- February 17 - "Daphne" by Richard Strauss
- March 16 - "Adriana Lecouvreur" by Francesco Cilea
- April 20 - "The Cunning Little Vixon" by Leos Janacek
- May 18 - "Das Land Des Lachelns" by Franz Lehar
