Cricket Twombly, who has been a volunteer at the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary for the past four years, and Sanctuary gift shop manager Tim Anderson were caught on camera at the recent Senior Fun Fair at the Largo Community Center. They had come to talk to prospective volunteers about opportunities at the non-profit avian hospital and sanctuary which is located at 18328 Gulf Blvd. in Indian Shores. For more information on the facility, which is dedicated to the rescue, repair, rehabilitation and release of wild birds, call 391-6211.
Pat Hofstadter, volunteer recruitment coordinator for the Neighborly Care Network, is ready to sign up volunteers at the recent Senior Fun Fair & Volunteer Conference sponsored by the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program and Largo Community Center. She advised volunteers are needed for the following Neighborly Care programs: Meals on Wheels, Senior Dining, Transportation Services, Adult Day Care and Telephone Reassurance.
