Downtown Lighting Festivities for New Streetscape PlannedCLEARWATER - Clearwater's new downtown streetscape is getting decked out in holiday array and officials plan to flip the switch that will light it all up Friday, Nov. 30. The fun begins in front of the historic Royalty Theatre at 5:30 p.m. Complimentary hot cocoa, coffee and cookies will be served, a high school marching band will spread holiday tunes and cheer, and city officials will join Santa for the lighting. When the deed is done and downtown is aglow, Santa will lead the crowd into the theatre for a free screening of the holiday classic film that includes an adventure on a magical train to the North Pole. All aboard.
