New Reclaimed Water Source for Utilities SystemWater to be Purchased from City of ClearwaterPINELLAS COUNTY - On Tuesday, December 4, Pinellas County Utilities began adding reclaimed water purchased from the City of Clearwater into its system. This additional reclaimed water is expected to resolve some of the supply issues that have occurred in past years. Officials caution customers that the introduction of this new reclaimed water into the system may result in some initial minor changes in irrigation system operation. Pressure fluctuations may occur as well as temporary service interruptions as the new source is brought online. Minor amounts of debris may enter the system at this time that could clog irrigation system sprinkler heads. These impacts, if they occur, will be temporary and of short duration. Any customers experiencing such impacts should call the Pinellas County Utilities reclaimed water "Hotline" at 727-464-4273 and report the problem so corrections can be made.
