MSNBC "Hardball" Host to Deliver Commencement Address at Stetson Law

GULFPORT, Fla.- MSNBC "Hardball" host Chris Matthews will deliver the commencement address to 92 Stetson University College of Law graduates scheduled to walk in ceremonies on the Gulfport campus on Dec. 15. Graduation will begin at 2 p.m. in the courtyard at 1401 61st St. S.

Matthews is a television news anchor who has distinguished himself as a broadcast journalist, newspaper bureau chief, presidential speechwriter, and best-selling author. He is also a regular commentator on NBC's "Today" show. Matthews has been a visiting fellow at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government, Institute of Politics.

Eleven students have earned both an M.B.A. and a J.D. degree. Five part-time students have earned a J.D. degree and four students have earned masters of law degrees.
