Professional Development Grants Writing Workshops Scheduled for Pinellas County ArtistsPinellas County artists can compete for up to $1,000 in grant funds, made available through the Pinellas County Cultural Affairs Department. The 2008 Professional Development Grants for Individual Artists is an opportunity to assist and advance artists' professional careers for projects completed between April 1 and Sept. 30, 2008. The deadline for the grant application is Jan. 23, 2008. To assist with the process, workshops will be offered Thursday, Dec. 13, and Thursday, Jan. 3, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the EpiCenter Building, 13805 58th St. N. in Clearwater (off Ulmerton Road in the ICOT Business Park). Artists will learn how to write grant proposals, and receive direction on following specific guidelines and filling out applications. Pre-registration is required.
