RCS Thrift Store Needs Donations, VolunteersPhoto by SANDI FAHY
Jay Brundage, RN, far left, drops off some Christmas items at the RCS Thrift Store on a recent Friday afternoon. Volunteer Susanne MacNamee, center, and RCS employee Brandy Ibbitson were on hand to accept the donations. The store, which provides clothing, household items and furniture free of charge to participants in RCS programs, is dependent upon donations, which may be dropped off at 2960 East Bay Drive in Largo. This time of year, especially, more items--as well as volunteers--are needed. Religious Community Services is a non-profit organization which also distributes food to needy individuals and families through the RCS Food Bank, offers shelter for homeless families at RCS Grace House and provides shelter at The Haven for victims of domestic violence. To reach the Thrift Store, call 531-6266. For information on any of the other above programs, you may call 584-3528.
