Bravura Brunch Goes Pops!

CLEARWATER - Over 200 persons are expected to turn out for the 14th Annual Bravura Brunch hosted by The Florida Orchestra/North Suncoast Associates at Ruth Eckerd Hall on Saturday, February 2. Members have been busy addressing invitations in recent weeks. This year's event, which will take place in the Margarete Heye Great Room at 11 a.m., will feature a program of pops selections by The Florida Orchestra Brass Quintet, Tampa Bay's premier brass ensemble, and remarks by principal pops conductor and Grammy Award winner Richard Kaufman.

Dee Dubendorff is chairman of the 2008 Bravura Brunch. Her committee is composed of Dorothea Gifford, Johanna Guzik, Lynn Lawton, Laura Longo, Connie Potts, Martha Robertson, Joan Savage, Martine Stapp and Tina Yegge. Ron and Dale Anderson are co-presidents of the North Suncoast Associates, which is the fund-raising arm of The Florida Orchestra. Conrad Wieler is vice president. Other officers are Laura Longo, recording secretary, and Bill Jonson, treasurer. Lynn Lawton is newsletter chair, Martha Robertson audience development chair and Marge Tadel public relations chair. Johanna Guzik is president-elect.
