Non-Trivial Pursuits Program to be Held at Chapel-By-The-SeaThe public is invited to Chapel-By-The-Sea, 54 Bay Esplanade, Clearwater Beach, Monday, January 7th, at 7:30 p.m., for its "Non-Trivial Pursuits" program entitled "Weeki Wachee, City of Mermaids: A History of One of Florida's Oldest Roadside Attraction." It will be presented by Ms. Lu Vickers, an award winning author and former Kingsbury Fellow from Florida State University. Vickers offers a nostalgic trip through this enchanted spring for a unique snapshot of Florida's tourism heritage, showing how a local novelty became a stellar international attraction. There is never a fee for the "Non-Trivial Pursuits" programs. It is requested that you make a reservation by telephoning the church office at (727) 446-0430. Refreshments will be served following the program.
