ASPCA®, Humane Society of Tampa Bay to Host Q&A with ASPCA Animal Expert

Does your cat like to pounce on your feet? Does your dog lick himself to sleep? Do your pets show emotions like jealousy and guilt? These and other pet-related questions will be uncovered during two free question and answer sessions with ASPCA Senior Director of National Outreach Jacque Schultz, CPDT. Hosted by the ASPCA® (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) and the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, the sessions will focus on issues of animal behavior, housing, and handling.

Jacque Schultz, who has been with the ASPCA for nearly two decades, and is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT), has lectured widely on the importance of behavior and enrichment of companion animals. She has appeared on numerous national media outlets such as MSNBC and in the New York Times. She co-wrote The ASPCA Complete Guide to Dogs and served as a project consultant on The ASPCA Complete Guide to Cats and as breed and behavior expert for Petfinder.com.

The Q&A sessions will take place on Wednesday, January 16 and Thursday, January 17 at 6:30 p.m. Ms. Schultz will answer dog-related questions on Wednesday and cat-related queries on Thursday.

Both sessions will be held at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay at 3607 North Armenia Avenue, Tampa.
