Big Dog, Cool Cat, Sassy Rabbit DayCLEARWATER - January brings about the feeling of renewal for many of us. The Humane Society of Pinellas is starting off the New Year featuring its long-term residents. On Saturday, January 26, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., HSP will host its 2nd Annual Big Dog, Cool Cat, Sassy Rabbit Day, at the Humane Society of Pinellas located at 3040 State Road 590 in Clearwater. While promoting Special Pets In Need (SPIN), there is going to be activities for all ages. A variety of informative discussions on humane animal care will be offered throughout the day. The kids will meet HSP's Humane Education Specialist during game sessions at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. with prizes awarded. There will be refreshments also available in the Real Life Room. HSP will also have its Microchip Clinic available from 1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. This will allow current pet owners to have their own pets' microchipped for only $10! Proof of rabies and license is required. It has been proven that a pets' chance of a safe and prompt return to their family is greatly increased with a microchip. HSP is very excited to bring you this invitation to come, learn, visit and hopefully find that you can open your heart and home to one (or more) of their featured SPIN animals. HSP is also going to offer a reduced adoption fee for these special pets adopted during this 2nd Annual Big Dog, Cool Cat, Sassy Rabbit Day.
