Clearwater Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Meetings AnnouncedThe Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is a lineage-based society of patriotic women descendents of a patriot of the American Revolution. The society's mission is to work for historic preservation and raise funds for educational scholarships and awards. DAR has chapters nationwide. Meetings are held at the Belleair Country Club at noon. Visitors are welcome; cost is $19. Dates and speakers have been set for the Clearwater chapter and are as follows: February 1, Topic: Youth Day (American History Winners, High School Good Citizens Honored, Children of the Clear Water Harbor Society, CAR). March 7, Topic: Speaker from Heritage Village. April 4, Topic: Indian Heritage. May 2, Topic: Memorial Service conducted by Nancy Wurmle, Leota Barber Memorial Scholarship Awards, ROTC Awards, Installation of New Officers.
