Enough is Enough!E-mail sent to Shirley Frick Mayor/Commission Secretary to be distributed to Largo elected commissioners.I watched that fiasco January 22nd and read ALL the reports and commentaries and in all sincerity I'm appalled! Not only has Commissioner Woods sucked ALL of you into his MLK scheme now he has the city manager involved also. Mr. Craig stated, many times, "... the fundraising is a private venture." That being the case why was so much of taxpayer time spent on this monument last night? Why is Mr. Craig and the (forgot his name) other staffer spending time researching and directing Woods to the folks in Oklahoma? And worse, if possible, the hubris of Commissioner Woods to solicit donations, FROM YOU, while sitting at the dais to fund HIS project was shocking ... I almost fell over but none of you said anything. WHY? I think I would have slapped him. One person in citizen comments brought up Woods' letter to the governor and I too was outraged by Woods' actions. That letter is an embarrassment to ALL of us. Looks like Largo elects semi-literate. A truly horrible representation of our city in content, grammar and spelling. Finally it was noted that Commissioner Crozier asked permission, from the commission, before offering to collect clothing for the homeless ... something we'll donate to, but the contract between her and Woods is astounding: She asks for commission permission to perform charity work ... he TAKES from the commission and city, without anyone's consent, to promote HIS project.
