
Clearwater Depression Glass Club To Present 29th Annual Show & SalePhoto by SANDI FAHY
Alice Poppler of the Sparkling Clearwater Depression Glass Club is pictured with examples of the Depression Era glass which can be found at the group's 29th Annual Show & Sale at the Harborview Center, 300 Cleveland St., in downtown Clearwater on February 9 and 10. Hours on Saturday are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. China and pottery from the era (1920s and 1930s) will also be on display. Admission is $6 per person. Glass repair will be available along with free ID. There will also be door prizes. The Sparkling Clearwater Depression Glass Club meets at 6:45 p.m. the third Monday of each month at Clearwater Garden Club headquarters, 405 Seminole St. Purpose of the club is "to educate its members and the general public about glass, china and pottery of the depression era." Members make presentations to other organizations, set up displays in the community and donate reference books to area libraries.
