Audtions for "The Graduate" Slated
Auditions for the Island Community Theatre production of "The Graduate" will be held Monday and Tuesday, February 11 and 12, at 7 p.m. Performances will be held April 3-13 at the Catherine Hickman Theater in Gulfport 's Art District .
A hit in the West End and a popular show on Broadway, "The Graduate" brings the quintessential 1960s movie classic vividly to life on stage. A disillusioned college student spends his first summer out of school in the arms of his father's best friend's wife. Meanwhile, he is falling in love with the man's daughter. The play was adapted for the stage by Terry Johnson, based on the novel by Charles Webb and the screenplay by Calder Willingham and Buck Henry.
There are roles for six men and five women ranging in age from 20 to 60. Auditions will be readings from the script. Please bring a performance resume if you have one.
Auditions will be conducted at 1409 58th Street South , Gulfport . Park next door to the audition site on the corner of 58th Street South & 15th Avenue South at Reed's Auto Care, or across the street at Brenda's Beauty Salon.
