
San Gennaro Festa to be Celebrated in ClearwaterCLEARWATER - Come stomp grapes at Coachman Park during the 5th Annual San Gennaro Festa on Saturday, Feb. 16, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 17, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A $4 donation is suggested. The San Gennaro Festa celebrates Italian culture through food, family activities, artisans, music, and a procession to celebrate the Patron Saint of Naples, Italy, San Gennaro. This year's entertainment will feature The Buckinghams, known for their popular hits, "Kind of A Drag," and "Hey Baby, They're Playing Our Song," with other special guests Bella Sorella, Dino Diliberti, Tarantella Dancers, an opera performance, and more. For car enthusiasts, the San Gennaro Festa will unveil the Auto Italia Festa. This car show will feature Alfa Romeos, Fiats, Ferraris, Maseratis, and other Italian marques. Car registration forms can be found at www.floridaalfaclub.org. The City of Clearwater and The Italian-American Women of Today, (LIADO) are hosting this two-day event. Proceeds from the event will go toward college scholarships programs, Paul B. Stevens Exceptional Center for Autism and St. Joseph's Children's Cancer Research Hospital in Tampa.
