Largo Woman's Club Gets New PodiumPhoto by SANDI FAHY
Dr. Bob Jackson, left, and Thad Pollard unveil the new podium built by Pollard at the February meeting of the Largo Woman's Club at the Highland Recreation Complex. Jackson, former mayor of the City of Largo and founding member of Caregiving Youth Project of Pinellas, was guest speaker at the luncheon. Pollard donated the materials and his time to construct the podium for the club. Local artist Sonia Morris also contributed to the project. She painted the unicorn (club mascot) and hibiscus flowers (club flower) which adorn the stand.
