A handful of residents were honored for their volunteer efforts prior to the public hearing. Rives presented Awards of Appreciation to past and present Building Committee members, who have helped the new city hall project come to fruition over a seven-year period. Bert Cutler, Jim Corrigan, Mike Kelly, Rudy Davis, and Lee Cieslak received plaques to commemorate their help. Also receiving an award but not present was former resident, Skip Chittenden. Rives also presented awards to four residents who were instrumental in renovating the temporary city hall and helping city staff move. Ed Wisniowski, Rudy Davis, Joe Burke, and David Dumville were recognized. Dumville, Richard Crowl and Mitch Krach will be sworn into the council at their next meeting March 17 at 6 p.m. The old, octagon shaped city hall building is scheduled to be razed March 18.
