City of Clearwater's Long Open House 2008"Come Grow With Us"CLEARWATER - The City of Clearwater's Long Center will host an Open House on Saturday, March 15, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Long Center is located at 1501 North Belcher Rd. Those who attend will learn about recreation programs offered for the community. Throughout the day there will be program demonstrations, facility tours, co-sponsored youth group information, after school programs, and summer camp information. The Long Center was recently renovated and boasts a 2,000 square foot fitness center, 15,000 square foot gym with three basketball courts, and the largest indoor swimming pool on the West Coast. In addition, you can hop on the Ream Wilson Trail (that spans from Clearwater Beach to Safety Harbor to Tampa Bay) from the Long Center, as well as play at the new Sunshine Limitless playground that cost $450,000 to build.
