Budget Concerns - Letter sent to Largo Mayor and CommissionersI'm surprised that you are still spending valuable commission time on the Martin Luther King memorial. With the current budget reduction of 8 million dollars over the next five years, we could use the 15,000 dollars you budgeted for the memorial somewhere else! I know Commissioner Woods has raised only 320 dollars to date. He says that he doesn't know how to raise funds. Well in my opinion, if he ran for public office than he must have raised money for his campaign. It seems to me that there is little interest in this memorial. If there was, he would have raised more money. With so little interest in this project, why should we the taxpayers pay for this? - Mike King
