Senior Fun Fest! ClearwaterWednesday and Thursday, March 19 and 20 the 11th annual Senior Fun Fest! will be held at the Harborview Center, Clearwater (10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days). This FREE two-day event features over 180 "Senior Friendly" exhibitors! Take the opportunity to visit exhibitors with information, on health and wellness, senior lifestyles, travel and attractions, senior services and more. Live entertainment both days! "Bandstand Boogie" the 50s, 60s Show, featuring American Bandstand Recording Artist, Mary Swan, "Crying in the Chapel," and "My Heart Belongs to Only You" , Nashville recording artist Marti Carroll, "Backtrack", Richie Merritt - The Marcels " Blue Moon", The Clovers, "Devil or Angel", To complete Bandstand Boogie Show is Ken Brady of the Casinos, "Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye". Entertaining both days as well are Denise Looney- "The D J with a Twist". Russell Cortese, takes the stage as "Elvis", Fritzy the "One Man Circus" will wow the crowd with unicycling, juggling, globe walking, Charlie Chaplin imitation, and general Fritzy mayhem. What would the day be without a balloon hat? Luis of A-1 Magic will perform magic as well as balloon art for all. Activities of the day include: Free Bingo games for prizes, an Easter Egg Hunt for prizes, Make-it and Take-it Arts and Crafts. Free Health Screenings all day including: cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar, balance screening, massage, a fitness demonstration and a Healthy Cooking Show. There are lots of chances to win $1,000s in prizes and plenty of giveaways including a Grand Prize drawing each day for a chances to win round trip tickets on USA3000 Airlines, Allegiant Airlines and Amtrak. There will be lots of good eats: free coffee and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, free pizza and samples from Costco Wholesale. A "Senior Friendly" lunch will be available for only $5 as well as a variety of lunch specials. The Senior "Fun Walk" is Thursday, March 20. There is a $3 minimum donation to Meals on Wheels. Winning photos will be selected on Thursday, March 20. Again, this year, guests are asked to bring in a donation of a non-perishable food item for the RCS Food Bank Holiday Food Drive. Admission is FREE. Parking is free in the front parking lot of the Harborview Center. NEW this year there will be free valet parking all day long. Garden Street Parking Garage and the Park Street Parking Garage is $.50 per hour/daily maximum $2.50. A free Shuttle ride is available all day from the parking garages to the front door.
