
Free Skin Cancer Screenings Offered by Morton Plant Mease Turley Family Health CenterCLEARWATER - A team of Morton Plant Mease physicians and nurses at Turley Family Health Center will be performing free, full-body skin cancer screenings to detect suspicious areas of the skin that may be cancerous and required follow-up medical care. The screenings will be held Thursday, March 20, and Thursday, March 27, from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the Turley Family Health Center, 807 N. Myrtle Avenue, Clearwater. Registration is required. Call (727) 462-7500 to schedule an appointment. Approximately 60 appointments are available. In addition to free screenings, participants will receive free information on skin cancer prevention including the importance of sunscreen UVA and UVB protection, protective clothing such as wearing a wide-brimmed hat that covers ears and neck, and how to recognize the signs of skin cancer.
