Photo by SANDI FAHY LARGO - Jordan Hunter, a member of Crazy 4 Canines 4-H Club, donned a chef's hat for her presentation at Pinellas 4-H Demonstration Day on March 15. Topic of her talk in Auditorium A at the Pinellas County Extension Service was "What's in Your Dog Food?" The 12-year-old earned a blue ribbon in the intermediate division for her efforts. Meanwhile, Ramius Stiehler, 8, was in Auditorium C talking about "Garden Bugs". He and his sister, Reanna, 6, wore cowboy hats representing their 4-H chapter, Pony Pals/Ochs Garden. Reanna could be found next door in the EMS Building's auditorium awaiting the opportunity to describe "What a Horse Eats." The three youngsters were among the more than 55 presenters vying for blue ribbons and a chance for advancement to District 4-H Demonstration Day. Blue ribbons were awarded for top scores of 90-100. Participants scoring 80-89 points received red ribbons, while those who received 79 or less points were recipients of white ribbons. Divisions were as follows: senior, ages 14-18; intermediate, ages 11-13; junior, ages 8-10; and cloverbud, ages 5-7. Cloverbud entries were not judged. All presenters in that age division were awarded green ribbons for their participation. There were two classes of blue ribbons.
