Francis Wilson Playhouse Holds Annual Meeting

Francis Wilson Playhouse held their annual meeting on March 8th and new board members joined this respected theatre venue to prepare for the upcoming 79th Season. Outgoing president, Byron Ellison, presided over the meeting which consisted of reports from the various committees, introduction of staff personnel and elections of new board members.

The new Board of Directors for the Francis Wilson Playhouse:

  • Officers: Graham Jones, president; Andrew Rufo, 1st vice president; Deborah A'Hearn, 2nd vice president and VP Investments; Babs Bailey, treasurer; Peggy Reay-Jones, secretary
  • Directors: Dianna Hanger, Bruce Black, David Camburn, Cory McBride
  • New Members: Michael Flowers Bowen Barrs

The meeting adjourned briefly for entertainment and an awards presentation. The Francis Wilson Playhouse Youth Theatre performed scenes from their upcoming production of "Tom Sawyer" and the G&S Players made a guest appearance; performing songs from "H.M.S. Pinafore". Past president, Ray Kenney, was presented with an award commemorating his 20 years of service to the Playhouse and community theatre in Pinellas County. Byron Ellison was presented with an award in appreciation of his six years of service as board member and two years as president of the Board of Directors of the Playhouse.
