Table Tennis Club Announces Winner Of Kisbany CupPINELLAS COUNTY - When the Florida Sunburst Tour started in 2004, the Sunrise Table Tennis Club established a special tour trophy to honor women in table tennis. The trophy was named after Sari Kisbany, a recognized female table tennis champion in the Netherlands and in the United States. Nationally, Sari is known as "Queen" of the famous Sunrise corp of Golden Girls that consistently win Gold medals at Local, State and National Senior games. A diversified athlete, in 2006 Sari was named the Florida Senior Female Athlete of the year. The Sunburst Tour consists of six table tennis tournaments held in Florida. The Kisbany Cup is awarded to the female player who wins the most tour points. Sari awarded the Kisbany cup to 18-year-old Clearwater resident Mirella Delzo who has won numerous tournaments and table tennis scholarships. Mirella joins the ranks of previous Kisbany Cup winners, Danuta Andrejewska and two-time winner Jan Cline STTC is a 501 3(C) non-profit organization and in partnership with the City of Clearwater Parks and Recreation Department offer a number of low cost programs and tournaments for all ages.
