First Nighters, Francis Wilson Playhouse Social Group, Holds Successful Champagne Premier
On March 12th, the First Nighters, the Francis Wilson Playhouse social group, hosted a successful Champagne Premier for the musical, Sweet Charity. The First Nighters are a group dedicated to raising money to benefit the playhouse. They have been a valuable asset to the theatre for eleven years and during that time they have contributed over $100,000. Their efforts have rewarded the Playhouse with; amongst other things, a new stage curtain, and new air conditioning units. This recent Premier raised over $5,000 by ticket sales and raffles held at the performance. These limited seating premiers are a treasured resource, helping to keep community theatre of the highest quality available to the public at reasonable prices.
The First Nighters group is chaired by Ms Patti Baldwin, and the members are; Stella Coe, Pat Geyer, Anita Johnson, Sunny Kovarick, Ruth Padrone, Glenda Robinson, Evelyn Shambaugh, Ann Shortway, Kay Slade, Wendy Snellgrove, and Janet Withopf.
