Omelette Party Is Just Around The Corner

The forty-one year Omelette Party tradition continues benefitting UPARC Foundation, Inc. Patrons of the annual fundraiser, which provides funds for the programs and services of UPARC (The Upper Pinellas Association for Retarded Citizens), can mark their calendars for April 4, 2008 for a black tie champagne supper followed by a fabulous plant sale the next day, Saturday, April 5 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. There will be beautiful potted plants including incredible orchids - all for sale at great prices! Directions to the plant sale are available by calling Karen Seel at 409-6072. Both events will be held at the Roebling Estate. Chairing this year's event are Tana and James Gibson and Jodi and James Sibson.

Each year, before the Omelette Party festivities begin, about fifty of UPARC's very special clients visit the home for their own party hosted by the Omelette Party Committee, allowing them to experience the fun and excitement of this fundraiser. It is a time for the Committee members and event sponsors to come together and to celebrate with the people who benefit from the funds raised. This year, the client visit is Friday, April 4 at 10:30 a.m. at the Roebling Estate. The morning will begin with egg-stra special surprises for the clients, including a entertainment and presentation of special artist awards to those whose artwork has been chosen to be displayed at the evening party. The client visit is a tradition that serves to remind sponsors and volunteers alike why the Omelet Party is so very special for UPARC. All proceeds from this event directly benefit the persons served by UPARC.
