Moccasin Lake Nature Park's Fireside Concert Series Slated

CLEARWATER - Fireside Concert Series will be held Saturday, April 12, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Moccasin Lake Nature Park, 2750 Park Trail Lane in Clearwater (Just N.E. of the corner of US 19 and Drew Street- enter from Drew). This event is drug and alcohol free, suitable for family outings.

Everyone is invited to attend - listen to and participate in an evening of Native American music and drumming presented by YaYah and Red Eagle, local Native American performers and artists. In addition, representatives of several local tribes will also share indigenous folklore through story telling, dancing and more. The True Heart Drum will perform. There will also be powwow style dancing, and traditional Cherokee storytelling. The public is invited to come out and dance in full regalia.

Native American Artwork and instruments will be on sale during the intermission. Bring along a drum or percussion instrument to play along during parts of the performance.

During intermission enjoy beverages, toast marshmallows and make delicious s'mores around the campfire. All the fixings will be provided. All this, PLUS one free return trip general admission receipt per person for each paid admission to the concert!

The concert is held indoors during inclement weather. Admission is: 13 years and up - $5, 3 to 12 years - $3, and 2 years and under - $1.
