Kids in the Kitchen Event to be Held at Kings Elementary SchoolCLEARWATER - The Junior League of Clearwater-Dunedin, Inc. (JLCD) volunteers are holding their "Kids in the Kitchen" event at Kings Highway Elementary School in Clearwater for the second year in a row. The focus of this project, which is part of an initiative by the Association of Junior Leagues International, is to reverse the epidemic of childhood obesity and teach children the importance of eating well and staying active as part of a healthy lifestyle. Over 400 students will hone their skills in nutrition education, proper fitness and learn how to prepare simple, healthy snacks. The event will take place on Friday, April 11th, at Kings Highway Elementary, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
