Congratulations to Ryan and Crystal Plummer on the newest additions to their family! Twins Alicia and Kylei were welcomed into the world on February 17. Also pictured with the new arrivals are the Plummers' daughter, Nevaeh, 2 1/2, and son Christian, 6. A tip of the hat to the winners of the Largo Woman's Club Easter bonnet contest which took place at the group's March meeting. Alberta Maltby took home the prize for most original. Edith Ford's creation was judged prettiest. The award for funniest hat went to Ellen Jensen. The club recently welcomed three new members. They are Evelyn Gibson, Julia Vaters and Georgeanne Donegan ... Applause, please, for the winners of the Pinellas County Schools 4-H Tropicana Speech Contest. Logan Weyand, Alexis Merrill, Maya Jacobson and Alyssa Coburn were the middle school winners. Elementary school winners were Jackson Willis, Emma Spilman, Brian Sackett and Rhett Linton ... Golfing news: The American League at Clearwater Country Club recently elected new officers. Outgoing president Dennis Somers passed the gavel to Bill Sutton.
