Stetson College of Law Invites Local Seniors to Learn More About End-of-Life issues April 16

GULFPORT. -Stetson University College of Law invites local seniors to attend a free educational seminar about preparing to face end-of-life decisions on April 16 from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. in the Sebring Courtroom on the Gulfport campus at 1401 61st St. S. April 16 is "National Healthcare Decisions Day."

Stetson law students have volunteered, under the supervision of local elder law attorney Lee Carr, to assist in the completion of Florida Bar approved living wills and the designation of health care surrogate documents free of charge for all seminar attendees. While volunteers will provide assistance in completing approved forms, legal advice and representation will not be offered as part of this program.

Attendees designating health care surrogates should have the designee's name, address and phone number with them when they arrive at the seminar.

Light refreshments will be served. Seminar attendees may be dropped off in the Horseshoe drive off of 61st St. S. across from the campus library. Seating is limited for this event and attendees are encouraged to arrive promptly at 1 p.m.
