"Pink Power" Walk to Benefit Foundation

Among those planning to take part in the 2nd Annual "Pink Power" Beach Walk on Saturday, May 31, are (seated l-r) Nancy Poladian, Joyce Smith, Anita Johnson, (standing l-r) Betty Furniss, Sharon Givens, Susie Thatcher, Susan Gaddis, Mona Cleary, Bernice Tarnow, Stephanie Jackson and Jo Warn. Proceeds from the event will go to the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation, which is dedicated to finding a cure for cancers affecting women and stopping domestic violence. Participants, who are asked to wear pink, will meet at 10 a.m. at Tommy Duff's Irish Aviation Pub on Island Estates. There will be a silent auction, an "opportunity to win" drawing and refreshments at Tommy Duff's following the walk, which is sponsored by the Betty Furniss Mary Kay Unit.
