The weather could not have been better for the spring reopening of the Highland Family Aquatic Center at 400 Highland Avenue in Largo on Saturday, April 12. People of all ages flocked to the pool to enjoy its splash towers, umbrella sprays and water slides, including the three-story flume slide which was added last year. The facility will be open only on weekends until June 9. Hours on Saturday are 11 a.m.-1 p.m., 1:30-3:30 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. Sunday hours are 1:30-3:30 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. Sundays from 4 to 6 p.m. are designated Friends & Family Discount Swim days. One Largo recreation card admits a group of up to 10 persons at a reduced fee. For more information, you may call 518-3019.
