BOWser Abodes Unleashed at Tyrone SquareST. PTERSBURG - The Pet Food Warehouse BOWser Abode Tour 2008 - a collection of artistically designed doghouses created by local architects, builders, artists and designers -- makes its biggest stop at Tyrone Square through May with a Rescue Rally and celebration on Saturday May 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Center Court. The Pinellas Animal Foundation's Pet Professor, Jay Campbell, will be presenting Pet CPR demonstrations at the doghouse display, and area rescue groups, a face painter and balloon artist help celebrate the human/animal bond. Visitors to the mall will have the special opportunity of voting on the People's Choice Award. After reviewing all the Abode doghouses, shoppers can fill out a ballot and return it to the on-site ballot box to select their favorite. The People's Choice Award, along with the Best of Show, 2nd and 3rd Place awards will be given at the Bark-i-tecture Bash in November - where the doghouses will be auctioned off. Updated information on the doghouse auction bidding, additional exhibit locations and the Bark-i-tecture Bash finale event will be posted on www.pinellasanimalfoundation.org as it becomes available. The BOWser Abode event is produced by and benefits the Pinellas Animal Foundation's humane education Safe House Service Program that works with children at risk of anti-social behavior due to trauma in their lives. The foundation is a non-profit veterinary and community partnership established in 1983; dedicated to improved animal care, owner responsibility and increased awareness of the value of the human/animal bond.
