Clearwater Civitan Garage Sale Nets Funds to Support Charitable Groups and SchoolsThe April 5th Garage Sale of donated items netted $850. Additional donated items were delivered to local charitable groups and schools. Telephones designed for the hard of hearing were donated to Tampa Bay Deaf & Hearing Connection. Plastic boxes and containers were delivered to Calvin Hunsinger School teachers to help store and sort equipment and teaching aids. A number of large furniture pieces were sent to the Homeless Emergency Project store. A large selection of new and used toys was delivered to Suncoast Voices For Children and to Kimberly Home. A check for $300 was sent to the Civitan International Research Center in honor of the 91st anniversary of Civitan International. The sponsor fee for the Civitan Team in the Challenger division of the Clearwater Little League was paid. A check for $100 was sent to the Pinellas County Special Olympics.
