Eat Fish, Help the Plumb House and Refresh Your Clearwater Bomber Memories - All for $10

Take your family to the Clearwater Historical Society annual spring fish fry on Saturday, May 3, from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Ross Norton Recreation Center, 1426 South Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, Clearwater. The Society is a 501c 3 non-profit organization and your donation of $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under will get you all you can eat of the best fried fish and tastiest hush puppies in town, along with plenty of delicious grits, cole slaw, iced tea or coffee, and free parking.

All net proceeds go to the maintenance and upkeep of the Historic Plumb House Museum, circa 1896, a cracker-style house which was the birthplace of Mary and Kathleen Plumb, granddaughters of Jennie Reynolds Plumb, Clearwater's first paid public school teacher. Plumb Elementary School is named after the Plumb family.

The Plumb House Museum will be open on "Fish Fry Day", May 3rd, through the end of October from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month. The museum is located next door to the Ross Norton

Recreation Center so, after you have had your fill of super good food at the fish fry, go to the Historic Plumb House for a free tour of the museum to see the uniforms and pictures of the Clearwater Bombers, the 10-time World Softball Champions. Also see the many historical documents, early Clearwater photographic collections and period furniture which is on display in the museum.
