Betty Ferris, third from right, meets Dunedin Blue Jays players (from left) David Corrente, Chad Blackwell, Paul Phillips, Zach Dials and Connor Falkenbach at the recent Senior Fun Day at Knology Park in Dunedin. All are pitchers except Corrente, who is a catcher. The free event featured games, prizes, music and a free lunch for seniors. Those attending also had the opportunity to watch demonstrations by the Dunedin Fire Department, gather information from local businesses and play baseball bingo.
Terry Frechette, at left, trys her hand at the basketball toss game while attending the Senior Fun Day at Knology Park on April 17. Dunedin Blue Jays catcher J.P. Arencibia stands ready to catch the ball if she misses. Frechette was one of some 300 senior citizens who turned out for the fun event, which was co-sponsored by the Dunedin Blue Jays and City of Dunedin's William Hale Activity Center.
