
Junior League of Clearwater-Dunedin and Clothes to Kids to Hold 'Spring Fling' for ChildrenThe Junior League of Clearwater-Dunedin, Inc. is teaming up with Clothes to Kids, Inc. for their May 3rd 'Spring Fling' event. Approximately 100 children in grades K through 12 will come to the Clothes to Kids store in Clearwater to "shop" for a week's worth of clothing. The Junior League will provide refreshments and earth-friendly recyclable shopping bags for each child filled with items such as sunscreen, bike helmets, restaurant coupons, etc, donated by area businesses and supporters. Each child will also have a chance to win a brand new bike. The two non-profit organizations collaborated previously in July 2007 for a Back to School Fair and provided backpacks and school supplies to 130 children from low-income families. JLCD also donated supplies to four Title 1 schools in Dunedin and Clearwater to help them begin their school year. The next Back to School Fair is scheduled for July 26th at the Clothes to Kids store.
