Palm Harbor Library Closings AnnouncedPALM HARBOR- As part of its year-long renovation, Palm Harbor Library at 2330 Nebraska Avenue will be closed until Saturday, May 17. During this time, the staff will move furniture, books, and equipment in preparation for the second phase of the project. If you have driven past the library lately, you've noticed that the building has taken on a whole new look now that it is freshly painted. But wait until you see what has happened on the inside! When the library reopens at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 19, you'll be treated to a remodeled Children's Department, complete with improved lighting, a new family restroom, hurricane-proof windows, brightly painted walls, and bold new carpeting (there's even a boardwalk effect around the outside of the room!) The library has planned some special events for children and parents to enjoy that first day. During Phase II, a small conference room is being added, along with enclosed study rooms, a Literacy Office, and an expanded teen room. Stop by to see what's happening, and don't forget to pick up a brochure, just hot off the presses, that explains all the changes!
