American Legion Idol Largo Post #119LARGO - Attention all potential "Idol" singers and want to be singers! American Legion Post 119 is sponsoring a Karaoke contest, to be held on each Friday night in June at 9 p.m., in the hall located at 130 1st Ave. SW, Largo that will include prizes for weekly singers. Bring your own Karaoke CD's. However, Host Billy, "Master of Ceremonies", can provide music from his excellent selection on his computer. Weekly winners will be from the audience; the finals are to be judged by post officers. Entrants will be judged on vocal ability, stage presence, costume, and audience participation. Finals show will be Sunday, June 29th dinner ($6) from 4 to 6 p.m. and show at 6:30 p.m. Prizes include cash, dinners, and first place receives a 3 day vacation! Pre-entry fee of $10 is required.
