Clearwater Main Library Summer Art ExhibitsCLEARWATER – Summer art exhibits will be on display June 1 – Aug. 26, throughout the Clearwater Main Library’s galleries, at 100 N. Osceola Ave.: The Children's Banner Exhibit: The City of Clearwater and the Clearwater Arts Foundation present this exhibit of banners created by area students. The exhibit will be on display in the Osceola, Carnegie, and Youth Services Galleries as part of Convergence 2008, an international fiber arts conference, being held June 25 - 28 at the Tampa Convention Center. Youth interested in learning more about fiber arts can attend a weaving class using foam trays as looms at the Main Library Friday, July 18, 2 p.m. Creative Hands Connecting Lives: An exhibit presented by the Pinellas Handweavers Guild will be on display in the 1st Floor Lobby Display Cases. The galleries are open Monday through Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Thursday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m. For more information, call (727) 562-4970, ext. 5284.
