Sheriff to Address Palm Harbor Coalition June 26th
PALM HARBOR – The Palm Harbor Community Coalition has invited Pinellas County Sheriff James Coats to speak at a community meeting on Thursday, June 26th at 7 p.m. to explain to the citizens of Crystal Beach, Ozona, Palm Harbor and East Lake how the recently proposed budget cuts to the Sheriff’s budget would impact this community of nearly 100,000 residents. The meeting will be held at the Palm Harbor Community Activity Center at 1500 16th Street in Palm Harbor. The public is invited to attend this meeting and ask questions.
The proposed budgets cuts would eliminate the Community Policing Unit in Palm Harbor and East Lake; would eliminate the Traffic patrols for North County; and would eliminate the DUI unit for all of Pinellas County.
The mission of the Palm Harbor Community Coalition is to plan and work together as a coalition of individuals and community groups, to identify and advocate community needs and ensure the return of our FAIR SHARE of tax dollars to Greater Palm Harbor.
