Celebrate Dads and Sea Turtles on Father's Day

This Father’s Day, give your dad a gift he will always remember. By adopting an endangered sea turtle, you and your dad can commemorate the father of sea turtle conservation, Dr. Archie Carr, and help these ancient mariners survive.

Sea turtles have roamed the Earth’s oceans for about 200 million years, since before the time of the dinosaurs – and long before man. Early explorers witnessed these fascinating creatures traveling the seas in large fleets. But today, all seven species face extinction—ocean pollution, poorly planned coastal development, and demand for turtle meat, eggs and shells have taken their toll on the turtle population.

With Archie Carr’s birthday and World Sea Turtle Day so close to Father’s Day, a symbolic adoption is a great opportunity for you to share our founder’s conservation efforts with fathers everywhere. For a tax-deductible donation of $25 or more, Caribbean Conservation Corporation (CCC) will send your dad a personalized adoption certificate, a sea turtle conservation guide, a logo sticker, a magnet and a one-year subscription to CCC’s newsletter, all in a beautiful folder.

To adopt a sea turtle for the special father in your life, call Caribbean Conservation Corporation at 800-678-7853 or visit its online gift adoption form on CCC’s web site (www.cccturtle.org).
