Youngsters enrolled in the Beach Nuts Camp at the Morningside Recreation Center in Clearwater pose for a photo on a recent morning while taking a break from a game of dodge ball. The camp, for youth sixth grade and above, is under the direction of Jamie Smith and Gary Whitcher. Participants enjoy a variety of activities, including field trips. Session I ends June 20. Session II is slated to begin June 23. Two-week sessions are also scheduled beginning July 7, July 21 and August 4. Registrations are being accepted for future camps but space is limited. An art project under the direction of Leigh Loveland and Kim Berardi kept the above pictured children busy while attending Camp Coconuts at the Morningside Recreation Complex on a recent afternoon. Camp Coconuts is a summer day camp for students in grades 1-5.
