Thousands Turn Out for Coin Show

Over 3,000 persons were expected to turn out for the Clearwater Coin Show at the Harborview Center July 4-6, according to Clearwater Coin Club president Peter Hickey, pictured above with (standing from left) Marilyn Getz and Vera Sullivan on the first day of the event. The club hosted the show, which attracted 125 dealers from all over the country. Local dealers included Belleair Coins of Largo and Dale's Coins & Jewelry of Dunedin. The Clearwater Coin Club invites new collectors to join their organization, which meets at 7 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at the Clearwater Sail & Power Squadron building, 1000 Cleveland St. Free refreshments are served from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by an educational program.
