Kids Helping Kids
Students at First Lutheran School, 1644 Nursery Rd in Clearwater, spent this past school year raising money to say “THANK YOU” to All Children’s Hospital. Under the guidance of Principal Elaine Popp, Teacher Barb Aliotti and Mom Geri Biewer, the children were on a mission. Many of them and their friends have been touched by the local hospital. It is a value that is instilled in children at this school – to give because it is the right thing to do, not for the prizes – and that’s what they did, in great style. For a donation, the children had weekly dress-down days and put together a family walkathon. The result was a check for $3000 that was presented to the North Pinellas Guild of All Children’s Hospital. All Children’s Hospital is the only specialty licensed children’s hospital on Florida’s west coast. It is dedicated to advancing treatment, education, research and advocacy in child health.
