The above pictured team from the City of Clearwater Long Center's Roz & Dan Doyle Center for Aquatics took first place in the first annual Lifeguard Games at Southwest Pool in Largo on August 2. Smiling for the camera at the event sponsored by the Pinellas Aquatics Council are (standing l-r) Nate Bowne, Chad Muller, Kelly Peaton, Kyle Muller, Cliff Patterson and Tracy MacLean. Kneeling at front is aquatics supervisor Mark Roberson. City of Largo lifeguards took second place. A team from USF St. Petersburg came in third.
City of Largo lifeguards (from left) Andrea Patterson, Marianne Thomas, Charlene Polden, Kevin Jones, Logan Smith and Andrew Jurgutis pose for a photo at last week's Lifeguard Games. The six swimmers accumulated enough points in the rescue and emergency skills competition to take second place. They were one of three teams from Largo participating in the event, which also attracted teams from Clearwater, Pinellas Park and St. Petersburg. Southwest Pool in Largo hosted the meet.
